How to do the generator recovery antifreeze protection?
How to do antifreeze protection? When the generator set starts, it will generate a certain amount of heat. When the temperature is too high or too low, it will have different effects on the start of the generator set. When it is hot, as long as the heat dissipation is good, there will be no major failures. When the temperature suddenly drops below zero, major failures are likely to occur, especially when using, pay close attention to temperature changes. Diesel generator sets are most likely to cause cylinder head explosion due to low temperature.
The reasons for cylinder explosion are:
1. Only add cooling water after starting. After the diesel engine is started, the temperature in the diesel generator immediately rises. If cooling water is added at this time, the cylinder block and the cylinder head will be rapidly cooled, and cracks will occur due to cold shrinkage.
2. After shutdown, no cooling water is put in. The water in the machine freezes into ice, the volume increases, and the cylinder block and cylinder head burst.
3. When the generator set is operating, the cooling water is insufficient or the temperature of the water tank boiler is too high, and the cooling water is suddenly added. Undercooling and shortening of the cylinder block and cylinder head can also cause cracking.
4. The generator set works for a long time, and the temperature inside the machine is high. After parking, the high-temperature water is released immediately. It will cause high temperature parts to crack when exposed to cold air.
5. Use the decompressor to stop, so that the high temperature cylinder head suddenly encounters the cold air and causes cracking. There are the following methods to avoid cracking of various types of cylinder blocks and cylinder heads:
1. Before starting the diesel engine, warm water should be added to the water tank first, and hot water should be filled 2~3 times in severe winter. It is better to start when the water flowing out of the drain valve is about 30~50℃.
2. When the diesel engine operates for a long time, wait for about half an hour after shutdown, and then put the cooling water when the engine temperature drops to 40~50℃. After the water is drained, it is best to use a thin wire to poke the drain valve switch to prevent sediment from blocking the drain valve.
3. When the generator is overheated and water is severely lacking, the diesel engine should be allowed to idle at low speed for 10 to 15 minutes, and then gradually add cooling water.
If the above faults are caused by the low temperature during use, the impact on the generator set will be devastating. Requires repairs that are several times higher than normal generator repairs
