Five misunderstandings of generator operation
1. Emergency shutdown with load or immediate shutdown after sudden unloading of the load. After the diesel engine generator is turned off, the circulation of the cooling water stops, the heat dissipation capacity is sharply reduced, and the heating parts lose cooling, which is easy to cause the cylinder head, cylinder liner, cylinder block and other parts. Overheating, cracking, or excessive expansion of the piston stuck in the cylinder liner.
2. The diesel generator runs when the oil is insufficient, and the oil supply is insufficient, resulting in insufficient oil supply on the surface of each friction pair, resulting in abnormal wear or burns. If parts are damaged, they will need to be reinstalled.
3. After the cold start, the engine will run with load without warming up. When the diesel generator is cold started, due to the high viscosity and poor fluidity of the oil, the oil pump is insufficiently supplied with oil, and the friction surface of the machine is poorly lubricated due to lack of oil, resulting in rapid wear and even Failures such as pulling cylinders and burning tiles occur.
4. After the diesel engine is cold started, the accelerator is slammed. If the accelerator is slammed, the speed of the diesel generator will increase sharply, which will cause some friction surfaces on the engine to be severely worn due to dry friction. In addition, the acceptance force of the piston, connecting rod and crankshaft changes greatly when the throttle is hit, causing severe impact and easy damage to the parts.
5. When the cooling water is insufficient or the temperature of the cooling water and oil is too high, the cooling effect of the diesel generator will be reduced due to the insufficient cooling water, and the diesel engine will overheat because it cannot be effectively cooled. Overheating of the diesel generator will also deteriorate the combustion process of the diesel engine, causing the injector to malfunction, poor atomization, and increased carbon deposition.
